Police search for suspect in armed robbery at Haddonfield Rite Aid

On June 16, at 12:10 p.m. Haddonfield Police responded to an armed robbery at the Rite Aid, 715 Haddon Avenue. The robbery suspect displayed a handgun to store personnel before fleeing with an unknown quantity of prescription medications. Once outside the store the perpetrator pulled a person out of a parked vehicle and drove off. The perpetrator abandoned the stolen vehicle within one block and continued to flee the area.

An immediate search of the surrounding neighborhood was conducted by Haddonfield Police with support from neighboring agencies. The Camden County Sherriff’s K9 unit was also involved in the search however the suspect was unable to be located. As a precaution, two schools were placed under brief lockout status during a portion of the investigation, Tatem School and Christ the King.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall, 200 lbs., wearing an orange/yellow traffic vest, a dark hooded sweatshirt and hat, and goggles/glasses.

The investigation is being conducted by Haddonfield Police Detectives and the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.
