Mt. Laurel Police investigating burglary at Mallard Drive home

The following information was provided by the Mt. Laurel Police Department.

On June 5 at 3:20 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police responded to the first block of Mallard Drive for the report of a past tense attempted burglary. The resident reported that at approximately 2:20 p.m., two males came on to the elevated rear deck of the residence and attempted to open a rear sliding glass door. When the suspects saw the resident inside they fled on foot. The first suspect was described as thin, with dark unkempt wavy hair, wearing a dark colored t-shirt and jeans. The second suspect was described as being approximately six-feet two-inches tall, muscular build, wearing a white t-shirt, brown belt, jeans and white sneakers. He also had a tattoo of a snake and dagger (or spear) on his right upper bicep area.

On June 5 at 10:10 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 near the New Jersey Turnpike. During the stop officers arrested a 29-year-old man from Voorhees for outstanding warrants. He was charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic needle. He was released after satisfying the outstanding warrants.

On June 6, at 12:15 a.m., Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 38 near Marter Avenue. During the stop officers arrested a 22-year-old woman from Yeadon, Pa. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a court hearing.

On June 6 at 2:25 a.m., Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 near Rogers Walk. During the stop, officers arrested a 52-year-old man from Atco. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending a court hearing.

On June 6 at 3:20 a.m., Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Ramblewood Parkway near Route 73. During the stop officers arrested a 28-year-old man from Lumberton. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a court hearing.

A resident reported that someone accessed his TD Bank debit card information to make online purchases on June 3 totaling $1,045.20. The victim still has possession of his debit card.

A resident reported that her personal identifying information was used to file a fraudulent tax return in her name and collect her tax refund. The crime occurred sometime within the last few months.

A victim reported that their storage unit at someone entered their storage unit at U- Haul Storage on Route 38. Items valued at $1,300.00 were stolen. The suspect was able to open the password protected pad lock to enter the unit.

On June 6 at 9:25 a.m., Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 near Church Road. During the stop officers arrested a 33-year-old woman from Erial after she identified herself as another in an attempt to avoid being arrested for several outstanding warrants. She was charged with hindering her own apprehension and turned over to West Deptford Police for an outstanding warrant.

An employee of a hotel on Crawford Place reported $40. in cash was stolen from a purse left in unlocked office on June 6 at 2:35 p.m.

On June 6 at 9 p.m. Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Marne Highway near Larchmont Boulevard in response to an erratic driver complaint. During the stop officers arrested a 22-year-old man from Riverside. After he was arrested, officers discovered he was in possession of oxycodone pills and drug paraphernalia. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending a court hearing.

A victim reported that on June 8 between 5:45 and 6:45 p.m., someone entered her vehicle while it was parked in the LA Fitness parking lot on Dearborn Circle. An iPad and purse were stolen. The victim stated that the vehicle was locked at the time of the theft. There were no signs of forced entry to the vehicle.

A guest of a hotel on Atrium Way reported an iPad was stolen from her room on June 8 between 7:45 a.m. and 9:45 p.m. No forced entry to the room was observed.

On June 9 at 11:15 p.m. Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 near Greentree Road. During the stop officers arrested a 40-year-old man from Evesham. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a court hearing.

On June 12 at 1:30 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police responded to a residence on Horseshoe Drive for a suspected overdose. Arriving officers confirmed that a 24-year-old man was suffering from a heroin overdose and administered Narcan. The subject was revived and transported to a local hospital by Mt. Laurel EMS and paramedics.

On June 13 at 2 a.m., Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Hartford Road near Union Mill Road. During the stop officers arrested a 24-year-old woman from Mt. Laurel. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a court hearing.

An employee of a landscaping company reported that a backpack blower, valued at $600, from an unattended trailer while at a jobsite at 760 Centerton Road. The theft occurred on June 13 between 9 a.m. and noon.
