The Liberty United Service Organization (USO) will be on hand to join the celebration. A town-wide monetary collection will take place via jars placed on shop counters and the proceeds will be donated by Liberty USO to military families in need.

“This event is Haddonfield’s way of showing our appreciation to the men and women who serve us,” said Remi Fortunato, PfH retail recruiter. “This is our way of giving back to those who put their lives on the line every day to protect us and our freedom.”

Events and entertainment include live music by QUARTET 33 in the Gazebo in Kings Court. DJ Frank Staff will also be playing music during the event at Haddy on Haddy Lane; Steven Petit, the balloon artist, will be strolling along the streets of Downtown Haddonfield making balloon creations; and CrazyFaces Face Painting will be at 117 Kings Highway East.

Members of the military, Haddonfield Police, Fire Departments and American Legion Post 38 can present their service ID to receive a 20 percent discount on town-wide gift certificates at the Haddonfield Information Center.

In addition, all service men and women and their families can enjoy free hot dogs, compliments of Dietz and Watson.

A Step & Repeat selfie contest to win a $50 gift certificate using the hashtag #DowntownHaddonfield will also take place during the event.

Downtown Haddonfield retailers will be offering special promotions during the event for those who attend. A list of some of the promotions can be viewed at www.downtownhaddonfield.com/events-entries/service-appreciation-day/.
