Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge Fund-Raiser

CedarRun

Once again on May 16 from 4–9 p.m. Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife will host one of the non-profit’s largest fund-raisers of the year. The event is the 14th Annual Whiskey, Wine and Wildlife. As the moniker denotes the event will include plenty of whiskey, wine, microbrew and gourmet beer to sample, all provided by the event’s lead sponsor Canal’s Wines Unlimited and their family of vendors. In addition to spirits and beer to sample and a full cash bar, over a dozen of the area’s top eateries such as La Campagnola, Pop Shop and Zinc Café will be providing their signature dishes. Plus Dietz & Watson will provide cheese pairings that match perfectly with the wine selections. The event will feature two stages with a wide variety of live music from classical to folk; and, attendees will be treated to silent, ticket and live auctions with items that range from a kayak to theatre tickets. However, the biggest news about this year’s event is its move to Flying W Airport on Fostertown Road in Medford, NJ. (www.FlyingWAirport.com) Jeanne Gural, Cedar Run’s Executive Director says, “After 13 years at the Wildlife Refuge, this event has grown to the point of needing a larger venue. The Flying W, one of our major event sponsors, will offer our ticket holders more room to sip, munch, mingle and bid on our wonderful auction items plus the facility has indoor and outdoor facilities to keep us dry if the weather turns wet.”

Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge serves over 4,000 injured and abandoned animals annually at their rehabilitation hospital; and, each year the Refuge’s education team introduces 40,000 children and adults to the importance of protecting wildlife and the habitats they need. This fund-raiser will help keep the hospital’s doors open and support Cedar Run’s education programs. Several of Cedar Run’s Wildlife Ambassadors will be in attendance at the event so that everyone can personally experience a major part of why Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge exists.

Tickets are $55 per person or $100 for two until May 1. After May 1st prices increase to $65 per person or $120 for two. Tickets are available online at CedarRun.org or by calling (856) 983–3329×100.
