Remarkable performances by Jesse Eisenberg (David Lipspy) and Jason Segal (David Foster Wallace) bring depth and meaning to the lives of these two writers. The story is loosely based on an interview over a couple of days that Kanter has with Wallace at the end of Wallace’s book tour. The camera work is remarkable as is the directing by James Ponsoldt. Screened at the Sarasota Film Festival 2015.

Phil: Worth the Matinee Price

Based on the real life interviews of David Foster Wallace, in 1996, by then Rolling Stone columnist, David Lipspy. The film is made better by an exceptional performance from Jason Segel, as Wallace. Eisenberg is Eisenberg.
