Mt. Laurel Police searching for suspects in two armed robbery cases

The following information was provided by the Mt Laurel Police Department.

On April 18 at 11 p.m. Mt. Laurel Police responded to Exxon On the Run at the corner of Centerton Road and Creek Road for an armed robbery. The investigation revealed that a suspect armed with a handgun approached the gas attendant and demanded money. The victim gave the suspect an undetermined amount of money and the suspect fled the area on foot. The victim described the suspect as a tall black male in his 40’s with a thin build. He was wearing blue jeans and a grey hooded sweatshirt.

On April 20 at midnight, Mt. Laurel Police responded to the 7–11 on Marne Highway for an armed robbery. A suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded money and cigarettes. The store employee gave the suspect and undetermined amount of cash and cigarettes. The suspect then fled the store. The suspect was described as a tall black male in his later 30s with a thin build. He was wearing dark clothing and covered his face with a bandana.

An employee of Hovnanian Construction reported a generator was stolen from the garage of a house under construction between April 10 and April 13. There were no signs of forced entry.

Four residents reported that their identities were stolen and used to file fictitious tax returns within the last three months.

A member of the YMCA on Centerton Road reported an iPhone and cash were taken from an unlocked locker in the women’s locker room on April 13 between 2:45 and 3:30 p.m

An employee of the YMCA on Centerton Road reported someone broke into their locked locker in the women’s locker room and stole an iPhone and cash on April 13 between 3 and 7 p.m.

On April 16 at 10:25 a.m., Mt. Laurel Police conducted a suspicious person investigation on Church Road near Waverly Avenue. During the investigation officers arrested a 37-year-old woman from Williamstown for outstanding warrants. After being arrested, she was found in possession of and charged with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $12,500 and she was committed to the Burlington County Work Release Center.

A resident of the 100 block of Knotty Oak Drive reported their personal information was used to file a fraudulent tax return.

On April 16 at 8:40 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Woodview Drive. During the stop officers arrested a 56-year-old man from Mt. Laurel. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a court hearing.

On April 17 at 10: p.m., Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Country Club Parkway. During the stop officers arrested a 34-year-old woman from Voorhees after she provided police with a false name in an attempt to avoid arrest on an outstanding warrant. She was charged with hindering her own apprehension and released pending a court hearing after satisfying the arrest warrant.

The owner of a vehicle parked in the Wegman’s parking lot on Centerton Road reported their vehicle was keyed between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. on April 18.

On April 18 at 5:40 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police responded to Larchmont Place for a hit and run crash investigation. The investigation led to the arrest of a 52-year-old woman from Mt. Laurel. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a court hearing.

On April 19 at 4:20 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police responded to Target on Centerton Road for a shoplifting. The investigation led to the arrest of a 29-year-old man from Mt. Laurel. He was charged with shoplifting and released pending a court hearing.
