High school students are always the first on the scene — new fashion, new trends, new music — and this week, Moorestown High School students will be able to hear some of the newest music out there. The Third Floor Café — Live Music Night, will host some of the most talented new artists in the area. The Church Street Recreation Center, Third Floor is the venue and local musicians can showcase their talents.
The Third Floor Café Live is Friday, April 17 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. on the Third Floor of the Church Street Recreation Center. This is a free community event specifically for Moorestown High School students; student ID is required — MHS, MFS or other high schools with Moorestown residency. In lieu of a cover charge, the Department of Parks & Recreation asks for the donation of a non-perishable item for local partner Live Civilly. What better way to spend a Friday night than with your friends, drinking hot chocolate and listening to some of the newest singer-song writers in the area and supporting local families?
Moorestown a rich history of performing artists who got their start by performing locally — Jean Norris Baylor (Zhane, The Baylor Project), Scott Terry (Red Wanting Blue), Dan Bell, Jon Markel (Carbon Leaf), Valerie Orth (Valerie Orth Band), Chris Newcomer (Broadway) and Kevin Chamberlin (Broadway and Disney) Jeff Dinsmore (Founder of The Crossing Choir) and more.
