Eluding Arrest Incident
On April 3, 2014 at 9:08 a.m., the Medford Township Police initiated a motor vehicle stop on a 2001 Lexus at the intersection of state highway 70 and Jennings Road for a speeding violation. The suspect vehicle initially pulled to the shoulder of the roadway but then accelerated away from the stop and continued east bound on state highway 70. Police were able to locate the suspect vehicle a short time later at the intersection of state highway 70 and county route 541 (Main Street) east bound where traffic was taken into custody without further incident. The suspect was charged with eluding police, speeding, operating without a license and released pending court.
