Voorhees Public Schools 2015–2016 kindergarten registration begins March 25

The Voorhees Township Public Schools will hold kindergarten registration for the 2015–2016 school year beginning March 25. Any child who will turn five years of age on or before Oct. 1, 2015 is eligible for kindergarten admission in Sept. 2015.

First grade registration will also take place for children coming from private kindergartens for Sept. 2015. Please note specific dates and times.

Registration for September kindergarten will be held on the following days at the district’s four elementary schools; E.T. Hamilton, Kresson, Osage and Signal Hill:

  • March 25 for last names beginning with letters A-L (Kindergarten Only)
  • April 1 for last names beginning with letters M-Z (Kindergarten Only)
  • April 15 for make-up registration and First Grade Registration
  • April 22 for make-up registration and First Grade Registration

Each registration will run from 9:30–11 a.m. and 1–3 p.m. in the afternoon. If these times conflict with parents’ schedules, they should contact the school to make other arrangements.

Registration packets may be picked up in the school offices prior to registering.

At registration, the parent or guardian must present the child’s birth certificate, immunization record and three proofs of Voorhees residence. Types of documents eligible for use to verify your residency are available on the district website.

Also to know is the September 2015 All Day Child Care Program for Kindergarten Students, Voorhees CER Kindergarten (K-CER)
K-CER is a program designed to provide developmentally appropriate activities in a safe, secure environment within your child’s elementary school.

The district’s K-CER staff will reinforce and enrich the Voorhees Township kindergarten curriculum to facilitate the development of a child’s academic, physical and social skills.

K-CER staff will collaborate with a child’s kindergarten teacher to cooperatively provide the best education and care for the child.

For convenience, K-CER will be located at all 4 elementary schools.

AM Session: 9 a.m. to 12:50 p.m.

PM Session: 11:35 a.m. to 3:25 p.m.

AM and PM will be together for lunch and recess 11:50 a.m.-12:50 p.m.

Cost is $410 a month and a (non-refundable) $100 registration fee. Register before May 1 and receive 50 percent off the registration fee.

Early registration is recommended. (Minimum requirement of eight students per session and maximum 25 students per session)

Before and After Care 7 a.m. — 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. will be available at a discounted rate $2.25/hr
