The following information was provided by the Mt. Laurel Police Department.
On March 2 at 3:40 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police conducted an investigation into suspicious activity at a hotel on Fellowship Road. The investigation led to the arrest of hotel guest, a 28-year-old man from Flushing, N.Y., for possession of marijuana under 50 grams. He was released pending a court hearing.
On March 2 at 3:40 p.m. Mt. Laurel Police responded to the ShopRite on Ark Road for a shoplifting report. The investigation led to the arrest of a 50-year-old woman from Camden. She was charged with shoplifting $50 worth of merchandise and released pending a court hearing.
A patron of Wegmans on Centerton Road reported her wallet was stolen from her purse on March 2 between 6:30 and 7 p.m. She reported that the wallet had been in a zipped compartment of her purse while she shopped. It is suspected that the wallet was stolen when she briefly left the purse unattended in a shopping cart while she spoke to an employee. A credit card that was in the wallet was fraudulently used at nearby store.
On March 3 at 5:50 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police responded to TJ Maxx on Centerton Road for a shoplifting report. The investigation led to the arrest of a 22-year-old woman from Sewell. She was charged with shoplifting $210 in merchandise and released pending a court hearing.
On March 4 at 2:20 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police responded to a hotel on Fellowship Road for a disturbance. As a result of the investigation officers arrested 37-year-old man from Pennsauken, for outstanding criminal warrants. After he was taken into custody he was found to be in possession of a drug known as “wet.” Wet is the street name for a dangerous mix of marijuana laced with PCP. The suspect was committed to the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail with no 10 percent option.
On March 5 at 8:55 a.m. Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Mt. Laurel Road near Forrest Court. During the stop officers arrested the driver, a 27-year-old man from Edgewater Park for possession of marijuana. He also had an outstanding criminal warrant. He was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and released pending a court hearing after posting bail for the warrant.
On March 5 at 10:50 a.m. Mt. Laurel Police responded to the ShopRite on Nixon Drive for a shoplifting. The investigation led to the arrest of a 36-year-old woman from Moorestown. She was charged with shoplifting $87.13 in merchandise and released pending a court hearing.
