As a young boy, Bruce Powell was fascinated with his dad’s stories of the battles from World War II.

Powell has meticulously recreated the scenes in miniature.

His dioramas honor his father’s courageous service as a tank driver during the war.

With war photos and actual visits to Europe to see the sites his father described enables Powell to do outstanding work.

Bruce Powell grew up in Marlton and served his country proudly with two tours in Vietnam from 1964 to 1970. He now resides in Tabernacle.

Powell was once a docent on the USS Battleship New Jersey.

He enjoys giving lectures and showing his dioramas to people of all ages.

The public will be able to see and hear Bruce Powell at the March meeting of the Tabernacle Historical Society on Thursday, March 12 at 7:30 p.m. at Tabernacle Town Hall.
