The following information was provided by the Cherry Hill Police Department.
On Saturday, Dec. 20, a man from Philadelphia was arrested and charged with shoplifting after attempting to leave the Apple store without paying for concealed merchandise valued at $638.85.
On Saturday, Dec. 20, a man from Pemberton was arrested and charged with shoplifting after attempting to leave the Walmart store without paying for merchandise valued at $385.98.
On Sunday, Dec. 21, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Route 38 and Cuthbert Boulevard for a traffic violation. Through police investigation, a man from Camden was arrested and charged with displaying a false government document, specifically a fictitious New Jersey temporary registration tag.
On Sunday, Dec. 21, Cherry Hill Police was patrolling the parking lot of a closed business on the 2200 Block of Route 70 West during the overnight hours and located a suspicious vehicle that was occupied. Through investigation by police, a man from Deptford was arrested and charged with possession of heroin and other related charges.
On Sunday, Dec. 21, a woman from Mt. Laurel was arrested and charged with shoplifting after attempting to leave the Kohl’s Department store without paying for concealed merchandise valued at $206.
On Monday, Dec. 22, Cherry Hill Police responded to the Unit Block of Woodstock Drive North for report of a burglary. Unknown actors threw a large rock from the homeowners’ garden through a rear ground floor window. The incident occurred between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on this date. No proceeds were taken as the actor may have been possibly scared off by the homeowners’ dog.
On Monday, Dec. 22, Cherry Hill Police responded to the Susquehanna Bank located on Kings Highway for report of a male on location attempting to cash a fraudulent check. During investigation by police, a man from Philadelphia attempted to leave and then became combative with police. He was subsequently arrested and charged with resisting arrest and forgery.
On Monday, Dec. 22, a woman from Philadelphia was arrested and charged with shoplifting and using a juvenile for a criminal offense after attempting to leave the JCPenneys Department store without paying for concealed merchandise totaling $956.
On Tuesday, Dec. 23, a man from Philadelphia was arrested and charged with shoplifting after attempting to leave the Apple store without paying for concealed merchandise valued at $400.
On Thursday, Dec. 25, Cherry Hill Police responded to the 200 Block of Hadleigh Drive for report of a burglary. A male actor was observed running from the rear of the vacant residence after the neighbors’ dog started barking. Police located a rear ground level window that was open. Inside the residence, graffiti was observed sprayed throughout the basement.
On Friday, Dec. 26, a man and woman from Merchantville were arrested and charged with shoplifting and other related charges after attempting to leave the Sephora store without paying for concealed merchandise valued at $598.
On Friday, Dec. 26, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Route 38 and Hollywood Avenue for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, a man from Philadelphia was arrested and charged with possession of crack cocaine and other related charges.
On Friday, Dec. 26, a woman from Mt. Holly was arrested and charged with possession of heroin and other related charges after she was recognized by Cherry Hill Police from an earlier encounter where she provided a false name to police.
On Saturday, Dec. 27, a man from Camden was arrested and charged with shoplifting and other charges after attempting to leave the JCPenney’s Department store without paying for concealed merchandise valued at $270.
On Saturday, Dec. 27, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Route 70 and Grove Street for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, a woman from West Berlin was arrested and charged with possession of heroin and other related charges.
On Saturday, Dec. 27, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Route 70 and Wexford Drive for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, a man from Mt. Holly was arrested and charged with possession of narcotic pills without a prescription and other charges.
On Sunday, Dec. 28, Cherry Hill Police responded to the Kohl’s and PetSmart stores for report of two males who were passing counterfeit $100 bills. Through police investigation, two men from Philadelphia were arrested and charged with forgery.
On Sunday, Dec. 28, Cherry Hill Police responded to Ponzio’s Diner Restaurant located on Route 70 West for report of a woman from Riverside who was attempting to pass a counterfeit $100 bill. While police were en route, a male accomplice from Cinnaminson entered the restaurant and a confrontation began between the man and woman. After police arrived on location, both were arrested and charged with forgery.
On Monday, Dec. 29 , Cherry Hill Police responded to Kohl’s for report of a theft that had just occurred. It was reported that the actor fled on foot into a neighborhood. Responding units located a man from Burlington hiding in thick brush behind a residence. When observed, the man fled from police and was immediately apprehended. He was then arrested and charged with eluding arrest by fleeing and other related charges.
On Monday, Dec. 29, Cherry Hill Police responded to the Walmart store for report of a man from Trenton that switched price tags on merchandise valued at $199.88 and then purchased those items for $2.52. He was arrested and charged with theft by deception.
On Monday, Dec. 29, Cherry Hill Police responded to the Cherry Hill Mall for report of a man who was attempting to commit a theft from Microsoft. As police arrived at the mall, they observed an individual fitting the description of the male actor. Through police investigation, a man from Philadelphia was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property and other related charges after having stolen merchandise totaling $328 from the Victoria’s Secret store on his possession.
On Monday Dec. 29, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Park Boulevard North and Donahue Avenue for a traffic violation. Through police investigation, a man from Philadelphia was arrested and charged with possession of narcotic pills without a prescription and other related charges.
On Monday, Dec. 29, Cherry Hill Police responded to the 1500 Block of Randy Lane for report of a burglary. Unknown actors entered the residence through an unlocked rear door sometime between 2:30 p.m. and 4:50 p.m. on this date. Proceeds were an “Alienware” brand laptop and jewelry. A silver vehicle, possibly a newer model Nissan Altima, was observed parked out front of the residence during the time of the burglary. On Monday, Dec. 29, Cherry Hill Police responded to the 600 Block of Highland Avenue for report of a burglary. Homeowners were in the backyard at approximately 12:15 p.m. on this date when they heard glass break on the rear sliding door of their residence. Homeowners later observed that a Sony laptop was taken from the residence. A tan or gray Jeep style SUV with an unknown Pennsylvania registration was observed pulling out of the driveway of the residence around the time of the incident. On Tuesday, December 30, 2014, a man from Willingboro was arrested and charged with shoplifting after attempting to leave the JCPenney’s Department store without paying for merchandise, specifically clothing, valued at $674. After the man was processed and released, he went to the Macy’s Department store and was again arrested and charged with shoplifting and other related charges after not paying for concealed merchandise, specifically clothing, valued at $388. He was remanded to the Camden County Jail in lieu of bail.
On Tuesday, Dec. 30, a woman from Mullica Hill was arrested and charged with shoplifting after attempting to leave the Road Runner Sports store without paying for merchandise, specifically clothing, valued at $632.
On Wednesday, Dec. 31, Cherry Hill Police observed a suspicious vehicle that was occupied by two males on the parking lot of the Express Inn located on Route 38 West. Through investigation, a man from Camden was arrested and charged with possession of synthetic drugs, specifically “K2”, and other related charges.
