Cherry Hill Police arrest suspect during burglary at Benash Liquor Store

The following information was provided by the Cherry Hill Police Department.

On Dec. 24 at 3:18 a.m., Cherry Hill Police responded to the report of an alarm activation at the Benash Liquor Store located at 2405 Route 38. The first officer on location discovered the glass front door smashed and observed a subject inside of the business run towards the rear of the building.

The officer remained outside the building and eventually took the actor, a 26-year-old man from New York, N.Y. into custody when he attempted to flee. The actor was found in possession of proceeds from the burglary including cash, liquor, and lottery tickets. He was charged with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, criminal mischief and hindering apprehension and remanded to the Camden County Jail in default of $27,500 full cash bail.
