Mt. Laurel AARP holding first meeting on Jan. 8
The Mt. Laurel AARP Chapter 4003 will meet on Thursday, Jan. 8 at 1 p.m. in the Mt. Laurel Community Center. The guest speaker will be Marisa Bozarth, curator of the Burlington County Prison Museum.
Bozarth will discuss various topics including the Lindbergh kidnapping. Refreshments and social hour will follow the meeting. Pick up the chapter newsletter available at the meeting for future 2015 meetings, activities and trips.
The Mt. Laurel chapter is pleased to announce holiday gift cards were donated to the Women’s Opportunity Center in Burlington, the Veteran’s Haven in Winslow Township, Samaritan Hospice in Marlton, the Veteran’s Support Group in Mt. Laurel and four families in the Mt. Laurel Township School District. The distribution of gift cards totaled $1,050.
Chapter meetings from February to June will be held on the first Thursday of each month at 1 p.m. in the community center.
