Shoplifting tops Cherry Hill Police report this week

The following information was provided by the Cherry Hill Police Department.

On Wednesday, Dec. 17, Cherry Hill Police responded to the 200 block of Chapel Avenue East for report of a burglary. Unknown actors pried open a rear sliding door sometime between 8:30 and 11:15 a.m. on this date. Proceeds were gift cards and monogrammed silverware. The incident is under investigation by the Cherry Hill Police Investigative Unit.

On Wednesday, Dec. 17, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Cuthbert Boulevard and Hampton Road for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, a man from Maple Shade was arrested and charged with possession of heroin and other related charges.

On Tuesday, Dec. 16, Cherry Hill Police responded to the Cherry Hill Mall for report of a male actor passing counterfeit $100 bills. Through investigation by police, a man from Williamsport, Penn. was arrested and charged with six counts of forgery. The male made purchases at several stores inside the mall with counterfeit bills.

On Wednesday, Dec. 17, Cherry Hill police responded to the area of Maple Avenue and Aaron Court for report of a disturbance. Through investigation by police, a man from Sicklerville was arrested and charged with possession of narcotic pills without a prescription.

On Wednesday, Dec. 17, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Interstate 295 and Route 70 on a vehicle that was reported stolen. Through investigation, a man from Philadelphia was charged with receiving stolen property, possession of narcotic pills with a prescription and other related charges. A man from Mt. Holly was charged with receiving stolen property and possession of heroin.

On Friday, Dec. 19, Cherry Hill Police responded to the 200 Block of Ivins Avenue for report of a disturbance in the area. Through investigation by police, a man from Atlantic City was arrested and charged with possession of heroin and other related charges.

On Sunday, Dec. 21, Cherry Hill Police responded to the 1700 Block of Country Club Drive for report to a burglary. Unknown actors broke into a construction trailer that was parked in the driveway sometime over the weekend. Proceeds were several tools. This incident is under investigation by the Cherry Hill Police Investigative Unit.

On Friday, Dec. 19, Cherry Hill Police responded to the 100 Block of Tavistock Condominiums for report of a burglary. Unknown actors gained entry into the residence sometime between 7 and 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 19. Proceeds were a MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. The burglary incident is under investigation by the Cherry Hill Police Investigative Unit.

On Friday, Dec. 19, Cherry Hill Police responded to the unit block of Charlann Circle for report of a burglary. A lone actor entered the residence by forcing a rear door open at 10:45 a.m. on Dec. 19.. While inside, the actor entered the master bedroom where he was confronted by the homeowner. The actor fled in a small red vehicle that the actor backed into the driveway. On Friday, Dec. 19, Cherry Hill Police responded to the Walmart store for report of a theft that had just occurred. A man from Camden fled the store after concealing several items valued at $235.37. He was located by police and was arrested and charged with shoplifting and other related charges.

On Friday, Dec. 19, two suspects from Philadelphia were arrested after attempting to leave the Kohl’s store without paying for concealed merchandise.

On Saturday, Dec. 20, a woman from Philadelphia was arrested and charged with shoplifting after attempting to leave the JCPenney’s Department store without paying for concealed merchandise valued at $533.
