Drug charges lead Mt. Laurel Police report this week

The following information was provided by the Mt. Laurel Police Department.

A resident of the 4800 block of Church Road reported their residence was burglarized on Nov. 7 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Entry was gained through an unlocked garage door. Jewelry, valued at approximately $10,000, was taken.

A member of LA Fitness on Dearborn Circle reported their iPhone, valued at $600, was stolen from an unlocked locker on Nov. 8 between 2:40 p.m. and 3:10 p.m. The phone was valued at $600.

Mt. Laurel Police were dispatched to a hotel on the 1100 block of Route 73 for a disturbance on Nov. 8 at 10:20 p.m. During the investigation, officers arrested a 35-year-old woman of Palmyra for possession of marijuana and warrants from Camden County Police. She was charged with possession of marijuana and turned over to Camden County Police

Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Elbo Lane near Saw Mill Drive on Nov. 8 at 7:40 p.m. During the stop officers arrested a 54-year-old man from Browns Mills. He was charged with possession of marijuana and released on a summons pending a court hearing.

Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Fellowship Road near Century Parkway on Nov. 9 at 1:25 p.m. During the stop officers arrested a 39-year-old man from Marlton for possession of prescription medication not prescribed to him. He was charged and released on a summons pending a court hearing.

A resident of the 2400 block of Gramercy Way reported that between Oct. 18 and Nov. 9 someone burglarized their residence. Entry was gained by forcing the rear window open causing approximately $50 in damage. Approximately $3,600 in cash and coins were taken.

On Nov. 9 at 4:20 p.m. Mt. Laurel Police responded to Walton Avenue near Kyle Court for a motor vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that the driver of a Jeep Cherokee lost control of her vehicle while traveling south on Walton Avenue. She ran off of the roadway and the vehicle overturned. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and received moderate injuries. She was transported by helicopter to Cooper Hospital. Her passenger, who was wearing a seatbelt, received minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital. The driver, identified as a 21-year-old woman from Medford, was subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was also issued several motor vehicle summonses.

Mt. Laurel Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 in the area of Clover Road on Nov. 10 at 8:55 a.m. During the stop, officers arrested the driver, a 20-year-old man from Philadelphia. He was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and released pending a court hearing.

A resident of the 5200 block of Aberdeen Drive reported their 2000 Ford Taurus was stolen sometime on Nov. 10.

On Nov. 12 at approximately 8 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police responded to a hotel on Crawford Place for a report of suspicious activity. The investigation led to the arrest of three women, all residents of Delaware, for possession of drug paraphernalia. All three were served with criminal complaints and released pending a court hearing.

On Nov. 13 at approximately 5:10 p.m. Mt. Laurel Police received a report that a 79-year-old female resident suffering from Alzheimer’s disease had gone missing from her residence. A Silver Alert was broadcast for the public and the police to be on the lookout for the resident and the vehicle she was operating. At approximately 10:22 p.m. the missing woman was located in Philadelphia by Philadelphia Police. She was subsequently reunited with her family.
