Republicans win re-election in Evesham, new BOE member elected

Results as of 11 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 4:

Evesham Township’s Mayor and Council will remain the same in 2015 as Republicans Randy Brown, Deborah Hackman and Steven Zeuli were all re-elected on Tuesday.

The Burlington County Board of Election’s unofficial results had incumbent Mayor Randy Brown defeating his opponent Democrat Fred Ritter, and Republican Councilwoman Deborah Hackman and Councilman Steven Zeuli defeated Democratic opponents Sophia Nowinski and Phil Warren.

The win by Brown, Hackman and Zeuli will keep the council entirely Republican until the next election.

The unofficial results from the Burlington County Board of Elections are as follows:

Mayoral race:

Randy Brown (R) — 61.81 percent (6,731 votes)

Fred Ritter (D) — 38.06 percent (4,145 votes)

Council Race:

Steven Zeuli (R) — 30.65 percent (6,468 votes)

Deborah Hackman (R) — 29.96 percent (6,322 votes)

Sophia Nowinski (D) — 19.93 percent (4,205 votes)

Phil Warren (D) — 19.46 percent (4,106 votes)

In the Board of Education election for the Evesham Township Public School District, incumbent board members Sandy Student and JoAnne Harmon received 3,928 and 5,136 votes, respectively, to win re-election for their seats.

Also elected to the E.T.S.D. BOE was Elaine Barbagiovanni, with 4379 votes.

Philip Wessner received 3,182 votes, Jay Levenson recieved 3,536 votes.

The Lenape Regional Board of Education had one seat up for re-election in Evesham this year as well. With 4,980 votes Barry Fitzgerald defeated current board member Joanne Sanferraro, who received 2,444 votes.

These unofficial results do not include mail-in or provisional ballots.
