Burglaries, drug arrests reported by Cherry Hill Police last week

The following information was reported by the Cherry Hill Police Department.

Through investigation by the Cherry Hill Police Investigative Unit, on Friday, Oct. 17, a man from Bridgeton was identified and charged with theft of movable property. He committed a theft totaling $825 from the Kohl’s store on Oct. 14.

On Saturday, Oct. 18, Cherry Hill Police responded to the 500 Block of Woodland Avenue for report of a burglary. Unknown actors removed a sliding door and entered the residence during the overnight hours. Proceeds were tools. This incident is under investigation by the Cherry Hill Police Investigative Unit.

On Saturday, Oct. 18, Cherry Hill Police responded to the unit block of Overbrook Road for report of a burglary. Unknown actors forced entry through a rear door during the overnight hours. Proceeds were a purse that contained cash and a cell phone.

On Monday, Oct. 20, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Route 38 and Church Road for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, a man from Marlton was arrested and charged with possession of heroin.

On Monday, Oct. 20, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Route 70 and Springdale Road for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, a man from Chatsworth was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and other related charges.

On Thursday, Oct. 23, Cherry Hill Police responded to the 400 Block of Silver Hill Road for report of a burglary. Unknown actors entered the residence through an unlocked ground level front window on this date between 7:45 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. Proceeds were an iPod4 and Playstation3 controller. This incident is under investigation by the Cherry Hill Police Investigative Unit.

On Thursday, Oct. 23, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Berlin Road and Evesham Road for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, a man from Sicklerville was arrested and charged with possession of narcotic pills without a prescription.

On Friday, Oct. 24, Cherry Hill Police responded to the 1600 Block of Haverford Road for report of a burglary. Unknown actors pried and kicked open a side door to a residence during the overnight hours between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. Proceeds were computer equipment and a television. This incident is under investigation by the Cherry Hill Police Investigative Unit.
