Samantha Hovatter earns first place in “Top Model” and “Best Resume” for 2014 Miss Teen New Jersey

Miss Samantha Hovatter recently competed in the 2014 “Miss Teen New Jersey” contest with more than 90 other state finalists. Samantha Hovatter, daughter of Kim and Ed Hovatter, has earned the opportunity to attend Nationals through her successfully scored events: first place as “Top Model” and first place for “Best Resume”- Miss Teen New Jersey.

The National Pageant is to be held in Anaheim, Calif. at Disneyland during Thanksgiving week, representing the great state of New Jersey, where she will have the opportunity to win her share of over $500,000 in cash and prizes!

Hovatter’s additional activities and awards include: Miss Teen New Jersey, Moorestown resident and Moorestown Friends School senior. Winning the “Top Model” and “Best Resume” categories, she advances to the National Competition in California this Thanksgiving.

The National American Miss Pageants are dedicated to celebrating America’s greatness and encouraging its future leaders. Each year the National American Miss Pageants awards 1.5 million dollars in cash, scholarships and prizes to recognize and assist in the development of young women nationwide. National American Miss had added the ultimate door prize to Nationals 2014. Each girl that qualifies for the national pageant has a chance to win a new 2014 Ford Mustang Convertible. The National American Miss pageants are for “Today’s Girl” and “Tomorrow’s Leaders.” The pageant program is based on inner beauty, as well as poise and presentation, and offers an “All-American spirit of fun for family and friends.” Emphasis is placed on the importance of gaining self-confidence, learning new skills, learning good attitudes about competition, and setting and achieving personal goals.
