Sustainable Cherry Hill’s second annual Food Day scheduled for Oct. 30

Sustainable Cherry Hill’s second annual Food Day event will be held on Thursday, Oct. 30 beginning at 6 p.m. The event is hosted by the Green Health Task Force.

Food Day is a national event that inspires Americans to change their diets and our food policies”. This year, the theme is Taste, Learn and Take Action with the food expo and panel discussion. Experts from Whole Foods Market Cherry Hill and Marlton will discuss sustainable fishing practices, local farm Cheyenne’s Road Market will discuss farming organically without USDA certification and a local Cherry Hill resident and “sprouting” expert will share how to grow organic food all year round in your own kitchen.

The event will include a food expo from 6 to 7 p.m. featuring more than a dozen food vendors and organization who practice sustainable, healthy and or organic practices. The food expo will be followed by a panel discussion from 7 to 9 p.m.
