Shoplifting, drug arrests lead Cherry Hill Police report

The following information was provided by the Cherry Hill Police Department

On Friday, Oct. 3, Cherry Hill Police responded to the Destination Maternity store located at 903 Haddonfield Road for report of a theft that just had occurred. The male actor had fled and was apprehended by police after a short foot pursuit. A man from Philadelphia had pushed a store employee as he was fleeing the store with $1,958 worth of merchandise. He was arrested and charged with robbery, resisting arrest and other related charges.

On Saturday, Oct. 4, Cherry Hill Police located a suspicious vehicle on the parking lot of the Days Inn at 525 Route 38 West. Through investigation by police, a man from Pennsauken was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and other related offenses.

On Saturday, Oct. 4, a woman from Camden was arrested and charged with shoplifting after attempting to leave JCPenneys department store without paying for concealed merchandise valued at $332.

On Monday, Oct. 6, Cherry Hill Police responded to the Liberty Bell Bank located at 2099 Route 70 East for report of a fraud in progress. Through investigation by police, a man from Jersey City was arrested and charged with forgery and theft by deception after trying to cash a fraudulent check.

On Tuesday, Oct. 7, Cherry Hill Police responded to the 1200 Block of Farrell Avenue for report of a burglary. The residence is being currently renovated. Unknown actors entered the residence through a locked rear door. Proceeds were tools. The time frame is Oct. 6 around 7 p.m. and today at 4:15 pm. This incident is under investigation by the Cherry Hill Police Investigative Unit.

On Tuesday, Oct. 7, Cherry Hill Police responded to the Kohl’s store for report of a shoplifter that just fled the store with stolen merchandise. Cherry Hill Police units arrived on location and the shoplifter was apprehended. A woman from Blackwood was arrested and charged with theft of property.

On Tuesday, Oct. 7, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Route 38 and Mill Road for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, a man from Mt. Laurel was arrested and charged with possession of heroin.

On Wednesday, Oct. 8, a man from Mt. Ephraim was arrested and charged with shoplifting after attempting to leave the Home Depot store without paying for merchandise valued at $498.

On Wednesday, Oct. 8, a woman from Cherry Hill was arrested and charged with shoplifting after attempting to leave the Kohl’s store without paying for concealed merchandise valued at $240.

On Wednesday, Oct. 8, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Route 70 and Curtis Avenue for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, a man from Marlton arrested and charged with possession of prohibited weapons, possession of narcotic pills without a prescription and other related charges.

On Wednesday, Oct. 8, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Route 38 and Mansion Boulevard for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, a man from Williamstown was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, possession of prescription legend drugs and other related charges.

On Friday, Oct. 10, a woman from Medford was arrested and charged with shoplifting after attempting to leave the Target store without paying for concealed merchandise valued at $234.46.

On Sunday, Oct. 12, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Church Road at Lake Drive East for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, a woman from Medford was arrested and charged with possession of heroin, possession of narcotic pills without a prescription and other related charges.

On Saturday, Oct. 11, Cherry Hill Police responded to the 100 Block of Sandringham Road for report of a burglary. Unknown actors broke a rear door window pane and unlocked the door to gain entry. Incident occurred between Oct. 10 at noon and Oct. 11 at 3 p.m. Proceeds were jewelry. This incident is under investigation by the Cherry Hill Police Investigative Unit.
