Burlington County Sheriff Jean Stanfield will hold a free “Caring For Parents” event on Saturday, Oct. 25 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Emergency Services Training Center, 53 Academy Drive, Westampton. Residents who are looking for guidance on assisting their elderly parents are encouraged to attend this free day-long course.

“Many of us are going to face a time when our parents are no longer able to care for themselves,” Stanfield said. “When that situation happens, there are usually many more questions than answers. This program is designed to provide important information that will help with those questions.”

Stanfield will provide the welcome address for the event, followed by a discussion on the various senior citizen programs available through the Sheriff’s Office.
