On Tuesday, Oct 7, the Mt. Laurel MUA experienced a leak in the 20-inch diameter sanitary sewer force main located at the intersection of Union Mill Road and Moorestown-Mt. Laurel Road. MUA crews worked through the night and non-stop during the rain until the main was temporarily restored and placed back into operation at 2 a.m. on Oct. 8., making it possible for our customers to resume normal water use.
To help facilitate the repair and to insure the safe operation of our sanitary sewer system, the northbound lanes of Moorestown-Mt. Laurel Road were closed to traffic and customers located on the west side of town were asked to limit water use for a short period of time.
