Motorcyclist injured after colliding with deer on Evesboro-Medford Road

On Oct. 4 at 10:51 p.m. Medford Twp. police, fire and EMS units along with Virtua Hospital Paramedics responded to Evesboro-Medford Road west of Route 70 for a report of a motorcycle crash.

Arriving units found the motorcycle operator, a 46-year-old man from Marlton, laying in the roadway, conscious and alert, complaining of shoulder pain and lacerations to his face. He was subsequently transported to Cooper Trauma in Camden for evaluation by Medford EMS.

Police investigation determined the man was operating a 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle west on Evesboro-Medford Road when a deer entered the roadway and struck the right side of the motorcycle causing him to crash and to be ejected from the motorcycle onto the roadway. No other vehicles were involved in the crash. The man was later released from Cooper hospital with a broken clavicle, minor concussion and facial lacerations. The crash is under investigation by the Medford Township Police Traffic Bureau.
