Shoplifting, burglary top Cherry Hill Police report this week

The following information was reported by the Cherry Hill Police Department.

On Monday, Sept. 29, Cherry Hill Police responded to the 100 Block of Ashbook Road for report of an attempted burglary. Unknown actors attempted to gain entry into a residence through a ground level window by removing the screen, however were unsuccessful due to the window being secured. The incident occurred between Friday, Sept. 26 and Sunday, Sept. 28 and is under investigation by the Investigative Unit.

On Tuesday, Sept. 30, a man from Philadelphia was arrested and charged with shoplifting after attempting to leave the Home Depot store without paying for concealed merchandise valued at $516.

On Tuesday, Sept. 30, Cherry Hill Police responded to the Kohls store for report of a shoplifter, who had concealed merchandise valued at $258, that was fleeing the store, The suspect, a woman from Trenton, left in a vehicle. However she was stopped by police before leaving the parking lot. she was arrested and charged with shoplifting.

On Wednesday, Oct. 1, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Route 38 and Chapel Avenue for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, a man from West Deptford was arrested and charged with possession of heroin and other related charges.

On Wednesday, Oct. 1, Cherry Hill Police conducted a pedestrian stop at the Church Road Circle for a man who ran across the roadway against the red signal. Through investigation by police, a man from Cherry Hill was arrested and charged with knowingly displaying a false identification.

On Thursday, Oct. 2, Cherry Hill Police responded to the 600 Block of Church Road for report of a burglary. Unknown actors forced entry into the residence by throwing a landscaping brick through the rear glass door. Proceeds were jewelry. Incident occurred on this date between 6:30 a.m. and 5:40 p.m. The incident is under investigation by the Cherry Hill Police Investigation Unit.

On Friday, Oct. 3, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Grove Street and Park Boulevard for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, a man from Pennsauken was arrested and charged with possession of heroin and possession of cocaine and other related charges.

On Sunday, Oct. 5, Cherry Hill Police responded to the 100 block of Park Boulevard for report of a burglary. Unknown actors entered an open window between noon and 4 p.m. on this date. Proceeds were a Samsung Galaxy 3 tablet and cash. This incident is under investigation by the Cherry Hill Police Investigative Unit.

On Friday, Oct. 3, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 70 at Kingston Drive for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, a man from Woodbury and a man from Sewell were arrested and charged with possession of narcotic pills without a prescription and other related charges.

On Friday, Oct. 3, a woman from Philadelphia was arrested and charged with shoplifting and other related charges after attempting to leave the Sephora store without paying for concealed merchandise valued at $286.
