Shoplifting, drug charges top Cherry Hill Police report this week

The following information was provided by the Cherry Hill Police Department.

On Friday, Sept. 19, Cherry Hill Police responded to the 800 Block of Kingston Drive for report of a burglary. Unknown actors entered the residence through an unlocked door. Proceeds were jewelry, cash, iPad, and bank cards. The incident is under investigation by the Cherry Hill Police Investigation Unit.

On Friday, Sept. 19, a woman from Camden was arrested and charged with shoplifting and other related charges after leaving the Macy’s Department Store without paying for concealed merchandise valued at $908.

On Saturday, Sept. 20, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on the Mall lot for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, a woman from Runnemede was arrested and charged with possession of heroin and other related charges.

On Saturday, Sept. 20, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Queen Anne Road and Rolling Lane for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, a woman from Cherry Hill was arrested and charged with possession of a narcotic without a prescription and other charges.

On Tuesday, Sept. 23, Cherry Hill Police responded to The TD Bank on Kings Highway for a report of a couple attempting to cash a fraudulent check in the drive thru. The vehicle was stopped by police as it was leaving the parking lot. Through investigation by police, a man and a woman from Marlton were arrested and charged with forgery and other related charges.

On Tuesday, Sept. 23, a suspect from Ithaca, N.Y. was arrested and charged with shoplifting after attempting to leave the Sephora store located in the Cherry Hill Mall without paying for concealed merchandise valued at $377.

On Tuesday, Sept. 23, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Route 70 and Cuthbert Boulevard for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, a woman from Camden was arrested and charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and other related charges.

On Wednesday, Sept. 24, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Coles Avenue and Hassemer Road for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, a man from Maple Shade was arrested and charged with possession of heroin and other related charges.

On Wednesday, Sept. 24, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Park Boulevard and Caldwell Road for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, a man from Cherry Hill was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and other related charges.

On Thursday, Sept. 25, a man from Cherry Hill was arrested and charged with shoplifting after attempting to leave the Target store without paying for concealed merchandise valued at $856.29.

On Thursday, Sept. 25, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Church Road and Lake Drive for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, a woman from Clementon was arrested and charged with possession of crack and other related charges.

On Friday, Sept. 26, two Cherry Hill residents were arrested and charged with shoplifting after attempting to leave JCPenneys Department store without paying for concealed merchandise valued at $867.

On Sunday, Sept. 28, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Route 38 and Hillview Drive for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, a woman from Gibbstown was arrested and charged with possession of heroin and other related charges.

On Sunday, Sept. 28, a resident from Burlington was arrested and charged with shoplifting after attempting to leave the Kohls Department store without paying for concealed merchandise valued at $286.
