Burglary, shoplifting top Cherry Hill Police report this week

The following information was provided by the Cherry Hill Police Department.

On Tuesday, Sept. 9, a man from Westville was arrested and charged with shoplifting after attempting to leave the Home Depot Store without paying for merchandise valued at $785.97.

On Tuesday, Sept. 9, Cherry Hill Police responded to the area of Nantucket Drive and Fieldstone Road for report of a disturbance . Through investigation by police, a man from Marlton arrested and charged with possession of narcotic pills without a prescription. This same man was later arrested on this date by Cherry Hill Police for being in possession of stolen property from an early reported theft from vehicle. He was charged with burglary to auto.

Through investigation by the Cherry Hill Police Investigation Unit, on Wednesday, Sept. 10, a woman from Somerdale was identified and charged with theft of property, which occurred on Aug. 13 from Walmart.

On Thursday, Sept. 11, a man from Camden was arrested and charged with shoplifting after attempting to leave the Kohl’s Department Store without paying for concealed merchandise valued at $428.

On Friday, Sept. 12, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Route 70 and Interstate 295 for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, a man from Atco was arrested and charged with possession of crack cocaine and other related drug offenses.

On Friday, Sept. 12, Cherry Hill Police responded to the Unit Block of Southwood Drive for report of an attempted burglary. Unknown actors attempted to gain access to the residence through a door and window, however were unsuccessful.

On Sunday, Sept. 14, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Berlin Road and Browning Road for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, a man from Cherry Hill was arrested and charged with using another persons identification and other related charges.

On Saturday, Sept. 13, Cherry Hill Police responded to the Citgo Gas Station at 1510 Route 38, for report of an armed robbery. The vehicle used in the robbery was located in Camden by the Camden County Metro Police, driven by the possible actor. A man from Malaga was charged with robbery, terroristic threats and related offenses by the Cherry Hill Police Investigative Unit after he confessed to the robbery.
