The third annual Planks for Pink, a breast cancer fundraiser hosted by the Katz JCC, will take place on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 9:15 a.m. This event is open to the entire community and people of all ages and fitness levels.
Participants are encouraged to obtain sponsors to pledge $5 for every minute the participant holds a plank position up to five minutes total.
“Planks for Pink is a great way to have fun while raising money for an important cause that affects the lives of so many women,” said Jayne Miller-Morgan, Assistant Fitness Director at the JCC.
Proceeds raised benefit the American Cancer Society and the Katz JCC Health and Wellness programs and services. The event will also include pilates, tai chi and yoga demonstrations, prizes and giveaways.
