Burglary, drug arrests reported by Cherry Hill Police last week

The following information was provided by the Cherry Hill Police Department

On Sunday July 27, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Route 38 and Chapel Avenue for a traffic violation. Through investigation by the police, a Mt. Laurel man and Williamstown woman were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

On Monday July 28, Cherry Hill Police responded to the 200 Block of Haddon Court for a report of a burglary to a vacant property. The incident occurred between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. An unknown actor forced open the front door. Nothing reported missing at this time. The incident is under investigation by the Cherry Hill Police Investigation Unit.

On Tuesday July 29, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Route 38 and Chapel Avenue for a traffic violation. Through investigation by the police, a man from Edgewater Park was arrested and charged with displaying a false government document.

On Tuesday July 29, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Route 38 and Church Road for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, a woman from Mt. Holly was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and other related drug charges.

On Wednesday July 30, Cherry Hill Police responded to 101 East Route 70 for a report of a burglary in progress. Witness reported to police an unknown male entered a building under construction and removed a concrete saw. Responding police units located the male and the concrete saw. Through investigation by police a man from Cherry Hill was arrested and charged with burglary and theft of movable property.

On Thursday July 31, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Route 38 and Chestnut Street for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police a man from Merchantville was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and other related drug charges.

On Thursday July 31, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Route 70 and Cover Bridge Road for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, two men from Marlton were arrested and both charged with possession of heroin and other related drug charges.

On Friday Aug. 1, Cherry Hill Police responded to the 1700 Block of Longfellow Drive for a report of a burglary to a vacant property. The incident occurred between Jan. 2 and Aug. 1. The garage door was unlocked and copper piping removed from the basement. The incident is under investigation by the Cherry Hill Police Investigation Unit.

On Saturday Aug. 2, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Route 70 and Astoria Boulevard for a traffic violation. Through investigation by the police, three women from Medford Lakes were arrested and all charged with possession of a fraudulent document.

On Saturday Aug. 2, a man from Paulsboro was arrested and charged with theft after leaving the Rite Aid store without paying for concealed merchandise valued at $471.91.

On Sunday Aug. 3, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Route 70 and Interstate 295 for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, a man from Pennsauken was arrested and charged with falsely incriminating another.

On Sunday Aug. 3, Cherry Hill Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Route 38 and Chapel Avenue for a traffic violation. Through investigation by police, a man from Sicklerville and a man from Westmont were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
