The following information was provided by the Medford Township Police Department.
Medford Twp. Police, Fire and EMS were dispatched to the area of Taunton Road and Holly Drive for a head on motor vehicle crash with injuries.
A 21-year-old male from Medford Lakes had been operating his 2003 silver Acura CL north on Taunton Road and crossed into the southbound lane where it collided head-on with a 2006 white BMW 325 driven by a 37-year-old female from Marlton.
The man sustained lacerations to his head and leg, and the woman had abrasions on both sides of her hips and left clavicle from seatbelt usage. Both drivers were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Taunton Road was temporarily closed for approximately 30 minutes for the investigation and removal of the vehicles.
The man was issued summonses for careless driving, failure to maintain lane, and failure to wear seatbelt.
