Burglary, vandalism top Mt. Laurel Police report

The following information was provided by the Mt. Laurel Police Department.

A resident of the 4500 block of Fenwick Lane reported a burglary and theft to a residence. The incident occurred on July 15, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. There was no sign of forced entry to the residence. A female, approximately 30-years-old, with several tattoos, average build, with short, cropped, shoulder length dark hair and a male subject, approximately 40 years of age, were observed entering the house and leaving a short time later. The suspects left the area in a white, 4-door sedan, with out of state license plates, possibly New York or Pennsylvania. Jewelry, medication, and other property, valued at approximately $8,000, were taken. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Mt. Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 34-year-old male of the 400 block of Elbo Lane, on July 19, for driving while intoxicated. He was stopped on Route 38 near Union Mill Road at 3:20 a.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated. While being processed for the DWI arrest, hemade terroristic threats against the arresting officer.He was charged with driving while intoxicated and terroristic threats and released on $2,500 bail pending a municipal court hearing.

Mt. Laurel Police responded to several 911 calls reporting a large fight in the area of the unit block of Holiday Street. The incident occurred at approximately 2:23 a.m. on July 19. The victim reported being slashed and stabbed with a knife while he was attempting to break up a fight. All involved parties fled upon police arrival. The victim sustained several minor knife wounds and was being treated at an area hospital. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Mt. Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 30-year-old male of the 1700 block of Efland Terrance, Deltona, Fla. on July 19 for being a disorderly person at the Wingate Inn on Clover Road. He was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

An employee of the Chili’s Bar and Grill on Church Road reported receiving counterfeit money. The incident occurred on July 19 at approximately 9:25 p.m. A counterfeit $10 bill was left as a tip after a meal was paid for using a credit card. The bill was found to be counterfeit after the customer had already left the establishment.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 23-year-old female of the unit block of Diston Court, on July 20, for driving while intoxicated. She was stopped on Church Road in the area of Preamble Drive at 4:42 a.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.

A resident of the 300 block of Willow Turn reported a burglary and theft to a residence. The incident occurred between 11 p.m. July 19 and 12:45 a.m. July 20. Entry was gained by prying the front door. A laptop computer and $350 cash was taken.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 19-year-old male of the 1000 block of Larchmont Place, and an 18-year-old male of the unit block of the unit block of Newport Drive, Hainesport, on July 20 for possession of marijuana. They were arrested subsequent to a report of subjects smoking a controlled dangerous substance in the parking lot of Larchmont Place at 11:22 a.m. The 19-year-old was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, and the 18-year-old was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 29-year-old male of the 1800 block of East Glenwood Avenue, Philadelphia, a 26-year-old female, of the 2500 block of Collins Street, Philadelphia, and a 22-year-old female of the 9100 block of Colonial Road, Brooklyn, N.Y., on July 21 for possession of a controlled dangerous substance. They were arrested subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 near Interstate-295 at 12:16 a.m. The Brooklyn native was charged with possession of psilocybin (Mushrooms), possession of marijuana, and possession of MDMA (ecstasy). The two Philadelphia residents were charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, and possession of MDMA. All were served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 21-year-old male of the 500 block of Shore Road, Somers Point on July 22 at 8:30 a.m. after he turned himself in at police headquarters. He was identified as the perpetrator of an aggravated assault that occurred on July 19 at 2:23 a.m. on the first block of Holiday Street. The suspect slashed a victim with a knife after the victim attempted to break up a fight between himself and a third party. He was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, and aggravated assault. He was served with criminal complaints and released after posting 10 percent of $15,000 bail.

A customer of a business on the 3200 block of Route 38 reported a theft. The victim reported that she accidentally dropped her wallet containing $60 cash and several credit cards in the business at approximately 3:15 p.m. on July 21. She returned to the store a short time later but the wallet was gone.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 32-year-old male of the 100 block of Woodland Avenue, Medford on July 21 for burglary and theft. He stole a pressure washer valued at $1,500 from the Ramblewood Country Club on July 4. He was charged with burglary and theft with bail set at $10,000. He was served with criminal complaints at the Burlington County Jail where he is presently incarcerated on unrelated charges.

A resident of the unit block of Sandhurst Drive reported a criminal mischief to a vehicle. The incident occurred between 9 p.m., July 20, and 9 a.m., July 21. A vehicle tire was punctured. Damage is estimated at $169.

A resident of the unit block of Whitechapel Drive reported a burglary and theft to a residence. The incident occurred on July 21, between 1 and 4 p.m. A skateboard, valued at $250, was taken from an open garage.

A customer at the Centerton Square Shopping Center reported a criminal mischief to a vehicle. The incident occurred between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m., July 21. A window, valued at $200, was broken.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 26-year-old male of the unit block of Lavister Drive, on July 21 for aggravated assault. He was arrested at his residence following an investigation into an assault that occurred at 8:45 p.m. on July 21 in the parking lot of 200 Larchmont Boulevard. The victim received facial injuries after being assaulted. The suspect was charged with aggravated assault and lodged at the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.

A Vineland resident reported a criminal mischief to a vehicle while it was parked in the parking lot at 1000 Howard Boulevard. The incident occurred between an unspecified time and 10:30 p.m., July 21. A vehicle window was broken. Damage is estimated at $200.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 67-year-old female of the unit block of University Avenue, New Castle, Del. on July 22 at 1:20 p.m. for shoplifting $199 in merchandise from the Home Depot on Nixon Drive. She was also found to be in possession of a handbag modified to defeat anti-shoplifting devices. She was charged with shoplifting and possession of an anti-shoplifting device. She was lodged at the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $5000 bail.

A resident of a hotel on the 1100 block of Route 73 reported a theft. About $1,300 cash was reported taken from a room. The incident occurred sometime between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m., July 15. There was no sign of forced entry to the room.

A resident of the unit block of Hilltop Drive reported a criminal mischief to a vinyl privacy fence. The incident occurred between 4 p.m., July 24, and 10:30 a.m., July 25. Several sections of the fence were damaged. Damage is estimated at $2,500.

Mt. Laurek Police arrested a 34-year-old male, of the 8000 block of Langdon Street, Philadelphia, while he was being released from the Camden County Jail on July 25 at 10 p.m. He was arrested for a robbery and shoplifting that occurred at the Home Depot on Nixon Drive on July 11. He was processed and committed to the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail.

A resident of the 1300 block of Larchmont Place reported a theft from an unlocked vehicle that was parked in front of the residence. The incident occurred between 9:55 a.m. and 10:34 a.m., July 26. A wallet and contents, valued at approximately $100, was taken.

An employee of a business on the 1200 block of Howard Boulevard reported a credit card theft. A credit card was taken from a pocket book that was stored in an unlocked locker room. Two fraudulent purchases, totaling over $160, were made at area stores.

An employee of the Hyatt House on the 3000 block of Crawford Place reported a theft. Several items were discovered missing from a room following the checkout of a guest. The incident occurred between unspecified dates and times over the past three weeks. The total value of the missing items is estimated at approximately $1,000.

The operator of a vehicle parked in the parking lot at 1000 Howard Boulevard reported a criminal mischief. A vehicle window was broken. The damage was discovered at approximately 10:45 p.m. Damage is estimated at $200.

A member of the YMCA on Centerton Road reported a criminal mischief to a vehicle. The incident occurred between 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on July 26. The driver’s side front door lock was damaged in order to gain access to the interior of the vehicle. Nothing was reported missing. Damage is estimated at $150.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 26-year-old male of the unit block of Logan Drive, Cherry Hill, on July 27, for driving while intoxicated. He was stopped on Clover Road between Route 73 and Church Road at 4:48 a.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 44-year-old male of the 600 block of Vine Street, Camden, on July 27 for hindering his own apprehension. Cruz was stopped on Route 73 near Clover Road for motor vehicle violations and provided police fraudulent information to avoid arrest on outstanding warrants. Cruz was charged with hindering his own apprehension and released on a summons prior to being turned over to Camden County Metro Police.

An employee of Stevens Management reported a theft and criminal mischief. The incident occurred on the 100 block of West Park Drive. Metal railings were cut from and removed from the exterior steps. Some of the railings were left at the scene. Damage and replacement cost is estimated at $1,500. The incident occurred sometime between 6 p.m., July 22, and 6 a.m., July 23.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 42-year-old female of the 2800 block of Route 73 North, Maple Shade, on July 24 for shoplifting $30.46 in merchandise from the ShopRite on Nixon Drive. Subsequent to arrest, she was found to be wanted by Bucks County, Pa. on drug-related charges. She was charged with shoplifting and being a fugitive and lodged at the Burlington County Work Release Center in lieu of $5,000 bail.
