Theft of cigarettes, ashtrays from homes top Mt. Laurel Police report

The following information was provided by the Mt. Laurel Police Department.

A resident of the unit block of West Bluebell Lane reported the theft of ashtrays from the rear porch of the residence. The incidents occurred between June 25 and July 9, between the hours of 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. The ashtrays were valued at $5.

A resident of the unit block of West Bluebell Lane reported the theft of cigarettes and ashtrays from the front entrance area of the residence. The incidents occurred between June 25 and July 9, between the hours of 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. The cigarettes and ashtrays were valued at $50.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 59-year-old female of the 1100 block of Colts Circle, Lawrenceville, on July 9 for shoplifting $47.27 in merchandise from the ShopRite on Union Mill Road. She was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested 25-year-old male of the 2000 block of Maple Avenue, Hatfield, Pa., on July 10 for possession of marijuana. He was stopped on Fellowship Road in the area of Gaither Drive for a motor vehicle violation at 12:15 p.m. He was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

An employee of Somerset Property Management reported the theft of components from 10 central air conditioning units located behind a property on the 16,000 block of Commerce Parkway. The incident occurred between 6 p.m. July 9 and 6 a.m. July 10. Repair costs were not known at the time of the report.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 30-year-old female of the 800 block of West Lakeshore Drive, Browns Mills, on July 10 for being a disorderly person in the area of the 3300 block of Route 38. She was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

A resident of the 100 block of Willow Turn reported a burglary and theft to a residence. The incident occurred between 10:30 p.m. July 9 and 7:20 a.m. July 10. Entry was gained through an unsecured garage door. A 32-inch flat screen television, valued at approximately $200, was taken.

A guest of a hotel on the 3000 block of Crawford Place reported an assault. The incident occurred on July 11 at 5 a.m. The victim was punched in the face by an unknown subject after answering a knock at the door. The subject fled the area prior to police arrival. No significant injury was reported.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 36-year-old male of the 100 block of Mayfair Lane, on July 11 for burglary, invasion of privacy, and criminal mischief. The suspect burglarized a residence with the purpose of placing video cameras for surreptitious viewing. He was served with criminal complaints and lodged at the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.

Employees of Coco Keys Water Resort on Route 73 reported receiving several counterfeit $100 bills. The incidents occurred on July 12 between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 35-year-old male of the 100 block of Stratton Drive, Mt. Holly, on July 13, for driving while intoxicated. He was stopped on Route 38 in the area of Mt. Laurel Road at 1:09 a.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.
