First Thursday Celebrates July 4 with ‘Red, White and Blue’ Theme

First Thursday

Downtown Haddonfield continued the summer fun by kicking off the holiday weekend with its First Thursday event on July 3.

First Thursdays replaced First Fridays, and each presents its own unique theme. The July 3 First Thursday theme was ‘Everything Red, White and Blue’ to celebrate the 4th of July. Retailers and vendors displayed their best red, white and blue themed clothing, accessories and treats in their stores.

Live entertainment filled the air with music as the streets filled with shoppers browsing the displays, shops and an Artists Row filled with colorful art and photography displays.

The Downtown offered Customer Appreciation Rewards exclusively during July’s First Thursday. This promotion allows all receipts for purchases made between 5 and 8 p.m. on First Thursdays to receive a 10 percent rebate on the total amount of money spent. The rebate is to be given in the form of a Haddonfield Gift Certificate, and all receipts must be redeemed within one week of the event (by July 10 for July First Thursday). The rebate is not to exceed $50 per person.

Additional First Thursdays are scheduled to take place on August 7 (‘Sidewalk Sale’) and September 4 (‘Fall into Fall’). Each will feature an exceptional mix of music, on-street artists, extraordinary dining, and themed displays in many of Haddonfield’s unique, independently owned shops and boutiques.
