Multiple theft and shoplifting cases top Mt. Laurel Police report

The following information was provided by the Mt. Laurel Police Department.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 27-year-old male of the unit block of South 23rd Street, Philadelphia, for possession of marijuana over 50 grams, possession of oxycontin without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was stopped for motor vehicle violations on Route 73 on July 2 at 12:50 a.m. He was released on a summons pending an appearance in Mt. Laurel Municipal Court.

A resident of the unit block of West Bluebell Lane reported unknown actors entered their unlocked motor vehicle parked outside of their home and stole items valued at $1,800. The items were described as a digital stenographer machine, a rolling suitcase and a GPS unit. The incident occurred sometime between June 28 and June 30.

A customer of Wawa on Route 73 reported he lost his wallet somewhere on the property when he stopped for gas and other items. The wallet was valued at $10 and contained cash and gift cards valued at $195. A debit card from the wallet was used at a local gas station on Route 73 a short time later. The incident occurred on June 29 between 12:25 p.m. and 12:45 p.m.

An employee of TJ Maxx on Centerton Road in Mt. Laurel reported two male subjects shoplifted two ladies’ shirts valued at $44.98. The suspects were described as a tall male with dreadlocks and a male with a pony tail hairstyle. The suspects turned over the shirts to store security when confronted in the parking lot and fled the area. The incident occurred at 8:35 p.m. on June 30.

A resident of the 5000 block of Dunbarton Road reported a criminal trespass. The incident occurred between 6 p.m. July 1 and 1:30 p.m. July 2. Access was gained through an unsecured rear door. Nothing was reported disturbed or taken.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 29-year-old male of the unit block of Hall Street, Hammonton, on July 2 for forgery. Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop, he was arrested for an outstanding warrant and found to be in possession of forged temporary license plate and registration. He was charged with forgery and released on summons pending a municipal court hearing.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 24-year-old female of the 1200 block of Sylvan Drive, Haddon Heights, on July 2, for driving while intoxicated. She was stopped on Centerton Road at 9:07 p.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.

An employee of the Ramblewood Country Club on Country Club Parkway reported a theft. A pressure washer, valued at $1,500, was taken from the pool office. The incident occurred between 8 a.m., July 4, and 10 a.m., July 5. There was no sign of forced entry to the office.

A resident of the unit block of Wembley Drive reported a burglary and theft to a residence. The incident occurred between noon July 4 and 10 a.m. July 6. Entry was gained by forcing the rear window. Jewelry, valued at an unspecified amount, was taken.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 30-year-old female, of the 1100 block of Route 73, on July 6 for being a wanted person by the Burlington County Sheriff’s Office on outstanding drug charges. She was taken into custody at her residence at 1:33 p.m. and lodged at the Burlington County Work Release Center pending a court hearing.
