Thefts from vehicles, multiple hindering arrests reported by Mt. Laurel Police

The following information was provided by the Mt. Laurel Police Department.

A resident of the 100 block of Ramblewood Parkway reported a theft. An unsecured bicycle, valued at $350, was taken from the front of the residence. The incident occurred between 11:45 a.m. and 2:15 p.m., June 16.

A member of the YMCA reported a theft. An iPhone 5s, valued at $648, was taken from an unattended backpack on the sidelines of a basketball court. The incident occurred between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. June 16.

A resident of the 200 block of Burnam Wood Drive reported the theft of a handgun. A Smith and Wesson revolver, valued at $500, was taken from the residence. The incident occurred between Feb. 1 and April 1 this year.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 27-year-old male of the 200 block of Burnam Wood Drive, Mt. Laurel, on June 16 for hindering the apprehension of another. Subsequent to police response to a 9–1–1 call at 10:06 p.m., it was determined he provided false information to police in an attempt to prevent the apprehension of another on outstanding warrants. He was charged with hindering the apprehension of another for outstanding warrants, and released on a summons pending a municipal court hearing.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 30-year-old male of the unit block of North 34th Street, Camden, on June 17 for hindering his own apprehension. Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 in the area of Rogers Walk at 1:26 a.m., he provided false information to police in an effort to avoid arrest on outstanding warrants. He was charged with hindering his own apprehension for outstanding warrants and released on a summons pending a municipal court hearing.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 50-year-old male, of the 3900 block of Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia, on June 17 for trespassing. Subsequent to a report of a suspicious vehicle behind Tires Plus on Route 38 at 9:46 p.m., he was found in the tire storage building without permission to be there. He was charged with trespassing and released on a summons.

A member of L.A. Fitness on Dearborn Circle reported a theft from a vehicle that was parked in the parking lot. The incident occurred between 6:20 p.m. and 8 p.m., June 18. A purse and contents, valued at approximately $50, were taken. Entry was gained by smashing the passenger side rear window. Damage is estimated at $250.

A resident of the 1200 block of Augusta Circle reported a criminal mischief to a residence. The incident occurred at 7:45 p.m., June 18. The resident heard the rear sliding glass door shatter. A small tear to the screen door was also discovered. No one was observed in the area. No entry was gained to the residence. Damage is estimated at $500.

A member of Giant Fitness on Route 73 reported a theft from a vehicle that was parked in the parking lot. The incident occurred between 7:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., June 18. A cell phone, cash and wallet with contents, valued at approximately $300, were taken. Entry was gained by smashing the driver’s side front window. Damage is estimated at $250.

A member of Giant Fitness reported a criminal mischief to a vehicle. The incident occurred between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., June 18. A vehicle window was shattered. Damage is estimated at $200. Nothing was reported stolen.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 61-year-old male of the unit block of Plumtree Lane, Willingboro, on June 19 for being a wanted person out of Bucks County, Pa. He was taken into custody subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 in the area of Rogers Walk at 5:47 p.m. He was charged with being a fugitive and lodged at the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail.

A resident of the unit block of West Bluebell Lane reported a criminal mischief and theft. The cables to an HVAC unit were cut and three packages that had been delivered to the front door were stolen. The incident occurred between 6 a.m. June 12 and 5 p.m. June 19. Damage to the HVAC unit was estimated at $300. The stolen packages were valued at $225.

A resident of the unit block of Ardleigh Court reported a theft. A sign, valued at $20, was taken from the front of the residence. The incident occurred at 12:25 a.m., June 19. A white male subject riding in a dark colored SUV was observed taking the sign.

An employee of the Sunoco on Route 38 reported a theft. A customer received $50 worth of gasoline but only gave the attendant $40 before driving away. The incident occurred at approximately 6 p.m. June 20. The suspect was driving a dark colored sedan.

A resident of the unit block of Hillside Lane reported a criminal mischief to their residence. The incident occurred at 11:40 p.m. on June 20. A window screen was damaged as a result of eggs being thrown at the residence. Damage is estimated at $25.

An employee of Sentsy, on the 200 block of Creek Road reported a forgery. The victim reported that a customer mailed an overpayment in the amount of $2,020 for an online order in the amount of $229.30 in May. Following a refund of the overpaid amount, the victim noticed fraudulent account activity on June 18.

Guests of a hotel on the 300 block of Century Parkway reported the theft of an iPad mini and a Dell laptop computer from a hotel room. The computers are valued at $1,400. The incident occurred on June 22, between 4 p.m. and 12 midnight.
