Evesham Police looking for suspects in robbery of 7-Eleven on Main Street

The following information comes from Lt. Joseph Friel of the Evesham Township Police Department:

E.T.P.D. is searching for two armed robbery suspects who assaulted and held up a 7-Eleven store clerk at gunpoint, and then stole cigarettes and money.

On June 3 at 4:35 a.m., the Evesham Police responded to the 7-Eleven, 2 East Main Street for a silent panic holdup alarm.

Investigation determined that two males both wearing dark clothing and masks entered the store and brandished silver handgun. One of the suspects held the gun against the clerk’s neck while forcing him to open a storage closet that was filled with merchandise. Once the suspects gained entry into the secured room they bound the clerk’s hands with zip-ties and forced him to the ground by striking him in the head. The suspects fled the store on foot in an unknown direction with hundreds in cash and thousands of dollars’ worth of cigarettes.

At the same 7-Eleven convenience store on June 2 at 2:09 a.m., E.T.P.D. responded to a hold up alarm. During that investigation it was determined that the store clerk locked the store doors and activated the alarm when he observed three masked suspects approaching the store. The masked suspect fled the area when they observed the clerk lock the doors.
