Cherry Hill resident earns master’s degree from University of Pennsylvania

Congratulations to Elizabeth Anne Schopfer, daughter of Lou and Jan Schopfer of Cherry Hill, who graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education with a counseling and mental health services master’s of science in education on May 19 at Franklin Field.

Schopfer will be continuing her education at the University of Pennsylvania, Graduate School of Education in Philadelphia in June under a merit scholarship to obtain a joint degree in professional counseling licensure and school certification with a master’s of philosophy in education. She will be traveling to the University of Saint Andrews in Scotland in August.

She served this past year as a practicum counselor at her alma mater, Cherry Hill High School West, under the direction on her former guidance counselor Cigus Vanni. She will begin an internship in September at Brookfield Academy in Haddon Heights. Liz holds a bachelor of arts magna cum laude with distinction in psychology and certification in Spanish, in addition to advanced classes in American Sign Language from the University of Pennsylvania College of Arts and Sciences.
