Medford Arts Center to host poetry workshop and open mic night on June 4

The Medford Arts Center will present Dianne Sahms Guarnieri and G. Emil Reutter as the featured poets on Wednesday, June 4, at 7 p.m.

Widely published, both Sahms Guarnieri and Reutter live and work in Philadelphia. Editors of “The Fox Chase Review,” an online literary magazine, they also host readings at The Ryerss Museum and have initiated The Poets at Pennypack.

In addition to Sahms Guarnieri and Reutter’s presentation, Sharlene DeMartini will conduct a free mini poetry workshop that will begin the evening at 7 p.m. and an open mic will conclude the event. An award will be given to the best open mic presentation chosen by the audience. Light refreshments will be served. The MAC has been presenting poets and open mics at the center for seven years inviting poets to come and listen as well as present their own original work. The event is free but donations are welcome.
