Mother’s Day is marked on all of our calendars, but what about Birthmother’s Day? Birthmother’s Day is the day before Mother’s Day and for Adoptions From The Heart it is a very special occasion.
As part of their lifelong commitment to adoptive and birth families, the AFTH is hosting a Birthmother’s Day Brunch on Saturday, May 10. The Cherry Hill office is offering a support group on Birthmother’s Day this year as a way to observe the special day and connect birth mothers with one another. Most of the time will be spent as a discussion while enjoying a provided brunch, but other topics such as experiencing holidays after making an adoption plan, coping with grief and loss, open adoption through the years and ongoing future contact will be discussed.
The brunch will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the AFTH Cherry Hill Office located at 451 Woodland Ave, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002. RSVP by calling 859–665–5655.
