Music and Dance Medley planned for April 27

The Friends Enrichment Program for underserved, financially disadvantaged Moorestown children will host its annual Music and Dance Medley fundraiser in the dining hall of Moorestown Friends School on Sunday, April 27 at 3 p.m.

Young people will perform in a fast-paced, eclectic program of music and dance. Refreshments will follow the performances. Admission is free and open to the public.

However, freewill donations will be gratefully accepted, and the proceeds will be spent on scholarships for qualifying children to attend day or residential summer camps, and to enroll in art classes or take private music lessons at no cost to their parents.

Alyssa Caffrey, a sophomore at Moorestown High School and a member of the Greater Princeton Youth orchestra, will play two pieces on the harp.

Kenan Soso, a Moorestown Friends School senior who has been taking violin lessons since he was in the second grade, will play Hometown Glory by Adele. Also a dancer with approximately six years of training under his belt, Kenan will perform a hip-hop number, which he choreographed.

Other instrumentalists on the program are Paishence Young, flute; Carly and Jake Rosvold, acoustic guitar; Latrice Ellis, Sophia Gillespie, and Jada Walker, piano; Luke Rosvold, soprano ukulele; and six violinists: Esha Acharya, Jamie Bookbinder; Maria Heffernan, Carola Howson, Christian Kim, Karina Santos, Elliot Smith, and Paige Young.

Dances will be performed by Mary Bradley, Aaliyah Champion, Taylor Dougherty, Latrice Ellis, Nyara Hollis, Azoriah Matthews, Luke Rosvold, Karina Santos, Jurnee Young, and Paishence Young. Moorestown High School seniors, Alicia Hutchinson and Desiree Williams, will lead the dancers in dances they choreographed.

Hutchinson has been an active FEP volunteer for the past five years.

The event is sure to be lively and enjoyable for all who attend. For more information, please contact (856) 235–3963.
