Alice Paul Institute names two new members to Board of Trustees

Judith Corona-Karpowicz of Sewell and Melanie A. Leney of Marlton have been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Alice Paul Institute.

Corona-Karpowicz is director of admissions and advancement at Friends School, Mullica Hill, a private, non-profit Quaker school serving pre-kindergarten through eighth grade students. She is responsible for admissions, fund raising, financial aid, marketing, advertising, special events, public relations and social media.

Prior to joining the staff of Friends School, Corona-Karpowicz served on its Board of Trustees as the clerk of the advancement committee. She is also a reunion committee member for Elizabethtown College.

Corona -Karpowicz holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Elizabethtown College and a master’s degree in public relations from Rowan University.

Leney is an associate in the litigation department and a member of the maritime and transportation practice group at Montgomery McCracken Walker and Rhoads in Cherry Hill. Her practice focuses on general litigation, maritime and transportation, employment litigation, products liability, personal injury and white-collar defense. She assists clients in all aspects of civil litigation in New Jersey and Pennsylvania state and federal courts.

She is a member of the Maritime Law Association and the Camden County Bar Association.

Leney holds a bachelor’s degree in international area studies and in romance languages from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a J.D from Rutgers School of Law, Camden.
