The Medford Township Office of Emergency Management, in partnership with the Burlington County Office of Emergency Management and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s Bureau of Dam Safety, will host a dam safety workshop on April 9 at 7 p.m. at the Medford Township Public Safety Building. All dam owners, emergency management officials and others interested in understanding the dam safety requirements are welcome to attend.
Some of the topics to be covered are dam owner responsibilities, emergency action plans, exercising of plans and emergency reporting and communications.
This workshop will provide very important information for dam owners, and will be especially useful for representatives of homeowners associations that own dams.
