Lenape High School encourages student’s to avoid distracted driving

Lenape High School’s Drivers Education Club recently initiated a driver safety awareness promotion. Students were made aware of the fact that distracted driving injures and kills thousands of people each year. Drivers Education teachers encouraged our young people to do only one thing while driving: focus on the driving task.

Students at Lenape were asked to pledge to help fight distracted driving. They were also reminded that as a passenger they can help encourage friends and family members who drive to be distraction- free. The Drivers Education teachers received more than 1,000 pledge forms from the student body.
