Kindergarten registration information for public schools

Kindergarten Registration for Voorhees Township Public Schools with the starting date of September 2014 will begin March 5. Exact dates include March 5 for last names beginning with letters A-L, March 12 for last names beginning with letters M-Z, and March 19 for make-up registration. Any child who will turn five years of age on or before October 1 is eligible for kindergarten admission. Each registration will run from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and 1 to 3 p.m. If these times conflict with parent schedules, please contact the school district directly to make other arrangements. Registration packets may be picked up in the school offices prior to registering. In order to register children, parents must present original birth certificates. A copy will be made for registration. Immunization records and proof of Voorhees residency must also be provided.

In order to prove residency, parents must provide one of the following:

- Advertisement -
  • Agreement of sale
  • Voorhees tax bill
  • Settlement papers
  • Lease with parent and child name listed
  • Residency Affidavit

In additional to one of the above documents, two of the following must be provided:

  • Driver’s license
  • Utility bills
  • Bank statement
  • Credit card bills
  • Other form of ID showing name and address

Parents will receive physical examination and medical history forms for each registered child, which physicians must complete before school begins. The Board of Education reserves the right to assign kindergarten students to a Voorhees school other than the school in their neighborhood.
