On Feb.1, friends of Moorestown resident Victoria Palko urge members of the community to visit the Moorestown Hardware store parking lot, for the 100 Pints in 1-Day event. Between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., there will be two blood mobiles set up for donation, at 300 Mill Sreet.
100 Pints in 1-Day organizer, Steve Solomon, stated that Victoria Palko has been in the hospital for the last month fighting for her life. Through her ordeal, she has used more then 80 units of blood, including 15 units of plasma. The Palko’s have been involved citizens in the Moorestown community for many years. Giving a pint gives other people the chance Victoria did, to win their fights. Blood donation can also be scheduled by appointment, at givebloodnj.org/schedule-a-blood-donation-appointment/.
