Politz Day School hosting second annual Panoply event

Politz Day School will host the second annual Panoply evening, a multimedia trivia night that teams of eight to ten players compete against each other through challenging questions spanning a wide variety of topics, including pop culture, geography, sports, and general knowledge. The event incorporates taste testing, video clips and other sensory challenges as part of the competition. The team with the greatest number of correct answers after three rounds wins. It is a great night of entertainment that you can enjoy with your friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers. Create your own team so you can experience the event that has become a huge success across the nation.

Originally spear headed by a group of young adults in Toronto in 1996, Panoply has become an international craze with annual games in Canada, the United States, Israel and Europe. This fast paced and entertaining event will be held Saturday, Feb. 1 at 8 p.m. at the Katz JCC. Covert is $25 per person. Teams of eight to 10 people can register online at www.politzpanoply.org. If you do not have a team, individuals can register and be added to a team.

Open to the entire community, the evening is sure to appeal to all. In addition to the game, there will be an opportunity to participate in a Chinese auction for jam-packed gift baskets. Some of the prize packages include two tickets to Israel or $1800 in cash, a seven day, seven night stay in a seven bedroom luxury home in Kissimmee, Florida with four-day hopper tickets to Disney world and $400 for plane tickets. Laptop, tablet, jewelry, gift cards, furniture, shopping, excursions and many more items make up lots of other packages. To see packages available and to purchase tickets, go to www.politzauction.org.

Co-chairs, Aaron Greenberg and Sabrina Spector are thrilled to be taking on this exciting project for the community again. “It took us some time to explain to everyone what a Panoply evening was all about but we’ve already had so many requests to run the evening one more time, we are confident that we’ll sell out again. This is a great event for friends and family as well as a wonderful company team building opportunity for folks. At the same time, they’ll be helping to support Jewish education in our area. “

Proceeds from Panoply support the scholarship fund, allowing every child the opportunity to learn about their heritage and culture. The Politz students will be hosting their own mini-Panoply in school with their teachers extending the lesson that philanthropy can happen at any age.
