Cherry Hill Playdrome will be the site of the ninth annual Bowling for Bears fundraiser on Dec. 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
There is a minimum donation of $8 per person. Each $8 pays for one bear to be purchased and given to a child in need. All of the proceeds go to providing bears to children in need through numerous organizations. The bowling, food and beverages are all free.
The first 150 bowlers will receive a free Bowling for Bears t-shirt. There will also be a silent auction at the event.
Donations are also being accepted by mail. They can be sent to Bowling for Bears, P.O. Box 1821, Cherry Hill, New Jersey 08034. Donations can be made online at www.bowlingforbears.org.
