Turkey Bowl to be held at Wesley Bishop Park

Turkey Bowl V Charity Adult Soccer Match will be played on Thanksgiving Eve, Nov. 27 at 7 p.m. Moorestown Turf Field at Wesley Bishop Park, Church Road

The Moorestown and surrounding Soccer Community (adults and children) is invited to attend this Charity Canned Food Drive and Competitive Adult Soccer Match.

Soccer Turkey Bowl is one of Moorestown’s best holiday traditions. On Thanksgiving Eve, two competitive over age 35 soccer teams play a charity match to collect food for those most in need. The match is “under the lights” at Moorestown’s Turf Field at Wesley Bishop Park, 1250 North
Church Street.

It draws a gathering of families passionate for soccer and giving.

The event is free to the public. Players and spectators are asked to bring canned food to the event. It is a celebration of community and thanksgiving.

This year, Moorestown II (of the South Jersey Masters Soccer League) defends its title against Moorestown Hotspur (a combination of the Moorestown Adult Rec. Program players and other South Jersey Masters Soccer League Team players). Many players coach youth soccer in Moorestown and throughout the region.

This is a wonderful event for the entire soccer community and a chance for many young people
to see their dad’s and coaches play.
