George A. Sullivan, Sr., formerly of Haddonfield, died at the age of 95 on Nov. 13.

Sullivan was the husband of the late Ellen (nee McIntyre), father of Ella Miller (Gary) of Chocowinity, NC, grandfather of Katherine Miller of Sullivan’s Island, SC. and father of predeceased sons, George Jr. and William.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and one cousin.

Sullivan grew up in the Philadelphia area and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1942. He served in Europe and earned Campaign Stars for Normandy, Northern France, The Bulge and The Rhineland. After the war he moved to New Jersey, served a two-year apprenticeship with Realtor, Frank Hanly, and opened his own Real Estate Brokerage Office in 1948, serving Camden, Burlington and Gloucester Counties.

He served as President of the Camden County Board of Realtors in 1955, President of the Southern New Jersey Chapter of the Society of Real Estate Appraisers in 1967 and was a lifetime Residential Member of the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers. He was the founder and director of the “Sullivan Real Estate Preparatory School,” approved by the N.J. Real Estate Commission.

Relatives and friends are invited on Friday, Dec 6, to St. Joseph the Worker Parish at St. Vincent Pallotti RC Church, located at 901 Hopkins Rd. in Haddon Twp. where his Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in the Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to: American Cancer Society, 1851 Cuthbert Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034 or Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Dr., Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.

Arrangements have been made by Kain-Murphy Funeral Services of Haddonfield.
