Evesham Township Police Department: help identify this suspect
The Evesham Police Department is requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a recent crime:
On Nov. 4 at 5:30 p.m., the Evesham Police Department responded to the Hallmark Store, 230 North Maple Avenue for a male who stole $100 during a diversion scam.
Investigation determined that the male utilized a diversion style scam to distract and confuse the cashier during a transaction. When the opportunity presented itself the male removed a $100 bill from the cashier’s hand without her knowing.
The suspect was described as a heavy set middle aged black male wearing a dark jacket with a blue shirt.
